Coomes Agribusiness was appointed by Racing Victoria Limited (RVL) to complete the survey, irrigation design, soil investigation, sub-surface drainage design, and project management for several sites across Victoria.

As with any turf site, careful consideration must be given to the uniformity of the application and the effects of wind and evaporation. These are minimised by the incorporating site specific site data, local knowledge, past experience and accurate design using the latest in CAD software.

The projects involve designing an irrigation system that not only applies specified amount of water, but also in a restricted timeframe due to training and race meetings.
