Mitchell's Run is located on Yan Yean Road in Doreen, close to the Yan Yean reservoir. The area, previously used for farming is exceptional.

It features remnant River Red Gum woodland and undulating topography, affording views to Mount Sugarloaf, Mount Disappointment and surrounding rural areas of Mernda and Doreen.
