Coomes Consulting Group were engaged to document and supervise the construction of this reserve. A central oval open space is a significant element in the park allowing for spontaneous active recreation.

Castlemaine rock retaining walls edge the oval, providing a separation between active and passive use in the park. Castlemaine rock has also been used for the entry walls to the park.

Extensive evergreen and deciduous tree planting helps to create a pleasant and shady space as well as seasonal interest of changing foliage.
