AVJennings has undertaken to build a new medium density housing development creating 221 homes on the site of the redundant Arnott?s factory in Burwood.
This new development provides the best outcome for this site. A well-planned residential development makes effective use of established infrastructure and the site?s location to local shops, schools and public transport.
The development respects the character of the surrounding neighbourhood and provides a range of housing to meet changing demographic profiles. A range of house types is proposed including one, two and three storey houses and a mix of detached houses and townhouses with ample vehicle access. Contemporary architectural designs will be combined with elements from the surrounding area to create an integrated residential community.
Four areas of public open space have been designed to protect significant trees, and a tree-lined boulevard will provide the main thoroughfare, connecting two of the surrounding main roads.
