Coomes were engaged by the McMillan family who have owned the land in Mount Ridley for over 50 years.
The full value of the land was realised with the development of 33 lots of low density housing. Approval was granted to lift the lot yield from 22 (based on Council?s initial advice) which added significantly to the financial return to our client.
Coomes were appointed to provide integrated development services including project management, planning, surveying, engineering and landscape architecture.
Coomes procured development finance arrangements, and engaged real estate agents for the marketing and sales components.
Negotiations with Council gained approval to construct the entrance road directly through a heavily treed area, creating a unique green entrance to the estate. This also facilitated the improved lot yield for the project. The design ensures the existing trees are a feature of the estate.
