This involved complex negotiations with servicing agencies, VicRoads and others on major infrastructure requirements.
The detailed development plans have continued to evolve, establishing the road network, lot size distribution and pedestrian/cycle links and the other components from the local structure plan.
The development contains several substantial lake systems providing both drainage and aesthetic advantages, a subregional shopping centre, a town centre site, many kilometres of regional walking and cycling paths, four primary schools and a secondary school.
Open space is provided in the form of quality landscaped local spaces and larger district level playing fields. An indoor sporting facility has been built as well as a large community facility/childcare centre.
