Coomes Consulting Group was engaged to prepare the design concept on which the LSP is based.
The guiding principles used in preparing the LSP include the establishment of sustainable habitat links between areas of identified environmental value; retention of established stands of remnant vegetation, notably Red Gum woodland; promotion of the areas environmental values as a positive feature of development; adoption of water sensitive urban design principles to protect and enhance aquatic and terrestrial habitats; establishment of an integrated open space network that protects the ecological integrity and environmental character of the Strategy Plan Area, as well as offering a wide range of passive and active recreation opportunities for all groups.
