Welcome to the Hobsons Bay Sport and Recreation Strategic Plan project website!
Hobsons Bay City Council is developing its Sport and Recreation Strategy. This is a major project for the Council that will guide the direction and development of sport and recreation facilities, services and programs across the municipality. Hobsons Bay City Council has engaged CPG Australia to assist them prepare the strategy.
Sport and recreation is a key ingredient to community life across our municipality. It provides an opportunity for people all to be physically active, strengthen connections with others and to engage in community life. Whether you are enjoying the waterfront of our magnificent foreshore, part of a local sporting club or just visiting your local playground; the planning, resourcing and development of sport and recreation is a major area of focus for the Council.
Household Surveys Out Now!
The household surveys are a really important way for us to understand what
Hobsons Bay residents do for sport and recreation, where, and what we can do
to make it better. Surveys have been posted to 5,000 randomly selected
households. But we need as many responses as possible, so you can also
complete the survey online by
